Welcome to Another Family Adventure

Twelve years ago, my husband and I moved to London, England. It was a pivotal moment in our lives, that expat experience. We lived in a tiny apartment in NW London, and we took every opportunity to explore both our new city and the new continents so easily accessible from London.

When we made the decision to relocate back to the USA, I was 6 months pregnant with our 1st daughter. The frequent travel adventures that marked our late 20’s were put on hold while the routines and needs of our babies took priority. During those years of sleepless nights, diaper changes, and countless readings of Good Night Moon, we promised ourselves that we would travel the world again.

When the girls were 4 and 7, we were ready. We were finally past the phase of nap schedules, strollers, cribs, and diapers. We dove right in that summer with a 2 week trip to Italy. This past summer, another 2 week trip to Italy and Slovenia.

I blogged about those early travel adventures of ours, and lately I’ve found myself reading those old posts and thinking what if…. what if I started writing about our adventures again?
